What does RGB + thermal mean? +

The Sentinel has two lenses: a 4K RGB camera for full-color video and a thermal imaging sensor for heat detection, plus IR infrared illumination for total darkness coverage. It also features full PTZ (pan-tilt-zoom) control via satellite, so you can remotely scan a perimeter or zoom into a target from anywhere. Together they enable 24/7 monitoring in any condition, with AI that detects humans, animals, and vehicles day or night.

The Orvid Sentinel is the first dish-free Starlink Direct-to-Cell (D2C) satellite camera, combining 4K RGB video with thermal imaging, IR night vision, and full PTZ (pan-tilt-zoom) control in a single ruggedized unit. Unlike traditional trail cameras or cellular security cameras that require cell tower coverage, the Sentinel streams live video via LEO satellite from anywhere on Earth. It is solar-powered with a 5W integrated monocrystalline panel, features on-device edge AI for real-time detection of humans, animals, and vehicles, and is rated IP68 for extreme weather from -40C to 60C.
